Bake it off!

Bake it off! was founded by Kathleen Willcox, a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. She has worn many hats in the kitchen -- as a catering assistant, cooking in restaurants, teaching cooking classes, writing about food and enthusiastically eating pretty much anything anyone puts in front of her. She occasionally judges cooking competitions and one of her dessert recipes was recently named as a finalist in Vegetarian Times' 2009 Chefs' Challenge contest.

She fled to I.C.E. from the grim horrors of writing about online advertising when she realized she was spending more time thinking and reading about food and the organic movement (and cooking!) than she was, well, to be honest, actually doing her job. She has been livin' her dream ever since -- cooking yummy food for delicious people (and the occasional canine).

Kathleen is so excited to be able to share with you her passion for slow food, the therapeutic nature of cooking and the ability to have fun, stay on a budget and prepare meals in an environmentally friendly manner.

At Bake it off! we believe the process of cooking is as important, nourishing, relaxing and creative -- if not more so -- than the final product. We would love to help you meet your goals, whether that's having us do the cooking for you on a regular basis or for a special occasion, schedule one or more specially tailored cooking lessons or throw a cooking party -- for kids or adults.

We will come to you or, if you prefer, you can come to our comfortable, well-stocked kitchen. If you want us to come to you, we'll bring all of the necessary tools and we promise: we will always leave your kitchen cleaner than we found it!
